なぜ人はペットを飼いたがるのか？
そんなことを考えたとき、
大きく２パターンの分析が出てきます。
まず１つ目が、
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
承認欲求を満たしてくれるから。
ペットは、自分なしでは生きていけない存在で、
自分を必要としてくれる。
そして、自分よりも下の存在なので
支配することができる。
そうやって自分の居場所を生み出してくれるから。
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
こういう方向性の分析。
そして、２つ目は・・・
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
愛くるしくて可愛くて癒されるから
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
きっと、前者のような考え方は共感されず、
後者の考え方は多くの人に共感されるんだと思います。
「あなたは自分が支配できる存在が欲しいだけなのだ」
とか言われて素直に「はい」なんて言いませんからね。
実家に犬がいる僕としても、
後者の方がしっくりきます。
ですが、だからといって
感情的に前者の視点を拒否するのは
違うんじゃないかなとも思っています。
釈迦や宮本武蔵も言っているように、
大事なのは「バランスを取ること」です。
バランスを取る（中庸でいる）とは？
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
どちらも無視して
真ん中を行くことではなくて、
どちらも受け入れた上で
真ん中を歩くこと
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
寛容な心、動じない心というのは
このスタンスから生まれます。
心理学で言うと、三大巨塔の内の
フロイトとアドラーは逆の立場を取っています。
フロイトは、「過去→現在」の視点で、
過去に○○があったから今そうなっている。
というスタンス。
対してアドラーは「現在→過去」の視点で、
過去はあなたの手で再定義（意味付け）できる。
というスタンス。
これは、どちらが正しいか？の問題ではなくて、
どちらも正しいのです。
大事なのは、このどちらの視点も持った上で
「じゃあ、自分の人生をより良くするには
どう考えたらいいんだろう？」というスタンスでいること。
こんな風に両方の視点を持っておくことで、
より見える範囲・気付く範囲が広がるのです。
それが、バランスを取るということ。
