今回は、「自信の持ち方」という
よくあるテーマを宗教の視点から見てみようと思います。
あ、ちなみに最初に言っておきますと、
僕はなんの宗教も信仰していません。
世界には多くの長年続いている宗教があり
それを信仰する人が大勢いる以上、
それなりの知識は持っておくべきだなと思い、
なぜ宗教にハマるのか？の人間心理にも
興味あるので勉強してますが、僕自身は無信仰です。
とはいえ、いろんな宗教の
「お、この考え方はいいな」と思うものは
価値観に採用しているので、
無信仰、というのも違う気がします。
良いところ取りして融合させているので、
マルチな感じです。
マルチ宗教・・・
おや、なんだか余計怪しい響きになってきました。
さて、本題に入りましょう。
今回のテーマは、

宗教の断食から学ぶ「自信」の持ち方
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
「元気があれば何でもできる」
アントニオ猪木さんのこの言葉は、
よくモノマネされるくらい知名度あるわけですが、
これと同じような感じで、
「自信があれば何でもできる」
と言っても過言ではないくらい、
”自信”があるかないかは僕らに大きな影響を与えます。
自信がいかに大切か？
なんてことをココで熱心に語らずとも、
その重要性は周知の事実だと思います。
というのも、
「心に迷いがあると９割失敗する」わけで、
僕の感覚的にも、
行動に迷いがあるとだいたい失敗します。
分かりやすいのはスポーツだと思いますが、
シュート打とうかな？どうしよう？
という思いを振り払いきれずに
シュートを打つと、経験的に９割失敗します。

「自信を持ってできるかどうか」
というのは、実力を磨くのと同じくらい
成功率を左右する要因なのです。

じゃあ、どうすれば自信を持てるのか？
このテーマは、
あらゆる所で議論されていて
いろんな考え方が出てきています。
流行りの心理学的アプローチだと、

あなたは生きてるだけで価値があるし、
生きてるだけで人の役に立ってる。
それに、あなたにはあなただけの才能がある。
そのことに気付こう。

こんな感じですね。
僕自身、
こういう話をすることもありますし、
これはこれで正しいと思っています。
これで自信を持てる人もいるはずです。
ただ、議論は
正義と正義のぶつかり合いなわけで、
「もう１つの正しさ」もあります。
こちらは、さっきの例とは違い、
ゴリゴリ体育会系アプローチ。

とにかく自分を磨く努力をしよう。
そしたら、
「これだけやったんだから
自分は変われてるはずだ」
と信じられるだろう。

こんなスタンスですね。
そのときの時代の流れによって
どちらの意見が優勢になるのかは
交互に変わっています。

で、今はアドラー心理学の後押しもあって
前者の心理学的アプローチが優勢になっています。
さてさて、
ここで宗教を見てみましょう。
「自信が持てる」というのを、
宗教でいう「救い（ハッピーになれる）」に
置き換えて見てみると、こんな感じです。

どうでしょう？
なんだか、すごく簡単そうですよね。
だって、唱えるだけでいいんですから。
じゃあ、
みんなこれ信仰すればいいんじゃないの？
と思うかもしれませんが、
実際、そうはなってないわけで。
なぜか？
実はこれ、簡単そうに見えて
難易度「超絶ハード」なのです。
だって、
ハッピーになるためにやることが、
「唱えるだけ」なんですよ。
言い方を換えれば、
たった一言唱えるだけで、
「救われた気分（ハッピー）」に
ならないといけないわけです。
決して簡単ではないんですね。
では、他の宗教を見てみましょう。

◆イスラム教
→毎日５回礼拝して、豚肉は食べず、
ラマダーンの月には断食し、
お金のない人に寄付していればハッピーになれる
◆キリスト教
→聖書に書いてあることを軸に生きよ
◆仏教
→出家して修行して善行いっぱいして
悟りを開けばハッピーになれる
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
こっちは、前者とは違って
それなりに努力しないといけません。
ですが逆に、
これらの義務があることで
「自分はハッピーになれる」と
確信を持ちやすいのです。
イスラム教の断食なんてキツいと思いますが、
でも、だからこそ、
「おれアッラーの言うこと守ってるもんね！」
と自分が救われることに確信が持てるんですね。

「あなた自信持っていいですよ」
と言われても、なかなか心からは思えず、
それなりに努力した方が
心から確信できるのが人間の性なのです。

なので、自信を持つための方法として、
「自分の価値に気付く」心理学アプローチも
効果あると思いますが、たぶん、
それだけで「確信」にまで至る人は
少ないんじゃないかなと思います。
だから僕は、
どっちのアプローチの方が正しい、
という考え方ではなくて、
どっちも正しいんだからどっちも取り入れようよ。
のスタンスを取るのがベストだと思っています。

実際に行動したりお金を払ったりして
自分に負荷（前向きな）をかけつつ、
内面と向き合うことも忘れない。

鋼のようなブレない自信を持つには、
この両方が必要なのです。
片足で立とうとすれば、
不安定なのは当たり前なんですから。
どんなに右足だけムキムキにしようと、
両足で立つ方が安定するに決まってます。
今は心理学的アプローチが優勢ですが、
なんだかんだ、負荷もかけた方が
本当に確信できるのが人間です。

もしどちらかに偏ってる気がするのなら、
