最近読んでいる本に、
こんなことが書いてありました。

「俺が汗水たらして働いて得た
お金なんだから、どう使おうが俺の勝手だろ」
と言う人がいるけど、
それは大きな勘違い。
お金はお前のものじゃない。
お金は”社会”のものだ。

この言葉を聞いた瞬間、
僕の中で世界が一気に広がりました。
たとえば僕は普段、
「時間の方が大事だから」という理由から
手数料払うことになってもコンビニで
お金下すことに抵抗はないんですが、
その視点が広がったのです。
「お金は社会のもの」
この言葉を別の角度で捉えると、
「お金は世界を循環してる」
と捉えられます。
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
つまり、コンビニで手数料として
払ったとしても、そのお金はこの世から
消えてなくなるわけではないのです。
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
たとえば巡り巡って、
この日本のどこか、誰かの
お給料として払われるかもしれません。
すると、それは銀行に預けられて、
銀行からどこかの企業に融資されるかもしれない。
そしたら、その融資された企業は、
それを資金にして世の中を
より良くするための活動に打ち込むのです。
そう考えれば、
コンビニで手数料払うことだって、
社会貢献になり得るんですね。

「自分は誰かの役に立てるのか？」
と悩んでる人がたまにいますが、
僕らは、
生きてるだけで
誰かの役に立っているのです。

生きてればお金を必ず使うわけで、
「お金は社会のもの」だから
世界を循環していて、誰かのお給料になったり
世の中のために動いてる人の
活動資金になったりしているのです。
僕自身、通信講座を開いたりして
参加者の方々からお金をいただいてますが、
そのお金でさらに勉強して
より多くのものを提供できるようになっています。
Mr.Childrenの
『彩り』という曲の歌詞にも
こんなことが書いてあります。

僕のした単純作業が、
この世界を回り回って
どこの誰かも知らない人の
笑い顔をつくっている

ここに込められたメッセージは、
「世界は循環してるんだから、
あなたはもう世の中に貢献してるんだよ」
だと思います。
”お金は個人のものではなく、
社会のものである”
一気に視野を広げてくれた言葉でした。
