今回は、
【少ない力で大きな力を出す】
というテーマで書いてみようかなと思います。
古武術の考え方をベースに、
日常でも使えるカタチにして書いていきますので、
読んでいる間も意識してもらえたらと思います(^^)
さてさて、
僕は、９年間バスケをやっていたのですが、
しばしば面白い現象が起こります。
どうみても華奢で力が無さそうな人と、
明らかに体格が良くて力のありそうな人。
どちらの方がシュートをより遠くに、
正確に、滑らかに飛ばせるかというと・・・
普通に考えたら
「体格の良い力のありそうな人」ですよね。
でも、実際はどうか？
最初のフリから想像できる通り、
「華奢で力のなさそうな人」の方が、
滑らかに遠くに飛ばせる場合があるんですね。
とくに、
男性の一般的なシュートフォームだと、
その差はよりハッキリと出ます。
(「左手は添えるだけ」ってやつですね。笑)
バスケ経験のない人が
３Ｐシュートを打ってみても、
ほぼ例外なく届かないです。
（３Ｐシュート：決まれば３点入る遠距離からのシュート）
もちろん、両手で打てば届きますが、
左手は添えるだけフォームで打つと
まず間違いなく届かないです。
ベンチプレスで100kg上げちゃうような
マッチョな人でも３Ｐシュートは届きません。
（室伏広治なら余裕で届きそうですが・・・）
さてさて、
ここからが重要ポイント。
いったい、華奢でも届く人と
マッチョでも届かない人の違いは何なのか？
その理由は・・・

届かない人は「腕」だけで打ち、
届く人は「全身」で打つ
―――――――――――――――
もう少し言い方を換えると、
届かない人は「外側の力」で打とうとし、
届く人は「内側の力」を利用して打ちます。
さらに変換します。
届かない人は「筋肉」で打とうとし、
届く人は「骨」を意識して打つのです。

よく、上達することを
「コツを掴む」と言いますが、
このコツというのは「骨」の事です。
身体を動かすことに関していえば、
まさに「骨」を意識することが、
飛躍的な上達に繋がるんですね。
ものすごく感覚的ですが、
安定したシュート力の人が
３Ｐシュートを打つとき、
身体ではこんなイメージをしています。

ヒザを曲げることで地面に圧力をかけ、
そこから「反動」で上に向かう力を生み出します。
そして、その力が足底の骨から
ヒザ→腰→背中→腕→手→指先の骨へと
全身を流れていくイメージをしながら
身体をシュート態勢に持っていきます。
そして、
力が指先にまで流れていった感覚がしたら、
それを一気に解き放ってボールに
力を流し込んで飛ばす。

こんなイメージです。
これを、いかに力を外に逃がさないように
するのかも意識しながら行います。
具体的には、
爪先の向きとヒザの向き、
ヒジがちゃんと真っ直ぐになっているのかを
意識して、力の流れを出来る限り滑らかにしていきます。
実は、
シュートを打つのに筋肉は意識していないんですね。
この「筋肉」ではなくて「骨」を意識する感覚は、
ボクシングでいう拳に体重が乗るだとか、
野球でいう球に体重が乗る、という感覚の
根本にあるイメージなんですね。
骨を意識して「力の流れ」を意識すると、
少ない力で大きな力が出せるようになるのです。
（正確には、バラバラになっている力を凝縮するイメージ）
たとえば、
今もし一人でいるのなら試してみてもらいたいのですが、
剣道のように竹刀を両手で持ってるイメージをし、
頭上から全力で振り下ろしてみてください。
(竹刀は持ってるイメージだけでOKです)
そのとき、
１）
振り始めから振り終わりまで
ずっと力を入れながら振り下ろす
２）
地球の重力・・・竹刀と腕にかかる重力を
感じながら、その重力の流れに
乗せるイメージで力を加えて振り下ろす
この２パターンでやってみてください。
きっと、
ビックリするくらい振り下ろした後の
感覚が違うはずです。
一瞬の爆発力の違いが分かると思います。
力の流れを意識して動くようにすると、
驚くほど身体への負荷は減りつつも
それまでより遥かに大きな力が生み出せるのです。
古武術では、
全身の関節をバラバラに意識して、
力の流れを感じながら最小限の負荷で
無駄な動きを排除して身体を動かします。
とはいえ、
その領域に達するには何年も修行が必要ですし、
僕もまだそんなに勉強したわけではありません。
ただ、日常で使えるカタチで
自分でも実践しながら勉強しています。
「なんのために？」
と思われるかもしれませんが、
身体の負荷を減らすことはストレスを減らします。
すると、心に余裕が生まれるようになって、
コミュニケーション能力の「伝わる力」が
高まり、最終的にあらゆる人間関係も
上手くいくようになるのです。
（もちろん、ビジネスも仕事も）
一見、コミュニケーションと全く関係なさそうですが、
実は、こういう部分がコミュニケーション能力に
大きく関わっているんだと僕は思っています。
ですので、今後は、
こういう視点からもアプローチしていけたら
いいなー、と思い勉強しています。
コミュニケーション能力を高めるのは、
コミュニケーションの勉強だけではないのです。
さてさて、話が脱線しました。笑
ここまでの内容をまとめると・・・

感じるようにすると、

でしたね。
これをもう少し日常に置き換えると、
まず「歩き方」や「立ち方」が変わります。
ただ立っている時でも、
重力を感じて、今、身体のどこに重力が
溜まっているのかを意識してみてください。
ここに負荷がかかってそうだなー、
という感覚でOKです。
その上で、
どう立てばその重力を
地面に流していけるのかを考えてみる。
たとえば、
腰を引いて、
背骨を腰骨に乗せるようなイメージをし、
ヒザを少し曲げつつ爪先と向きを合わせる。
↑これを、頭や肩にかかる重力が
下に流れて地面に抜けていくイメージをしながらやってみるだけでも、
立つのがものすごく楽になりますよ(^^)
歩くときも、
どうすれば重力がヒザや腰に留まらずに
地面に流し込んでいけるのかを意識して歩いてみる。
で、ここで重要なのは、
「力まないこと」です。

力んでしまうと、
そこに余計な力が留まってしまいます。
ですので、
あくまでも「脱力」が大切。
力をスムーズに流していくためには、
筋肉を固めてはいけないのです。
（だからといって緩めすぎず、自然な感じで）
脱力するためのポイントは、
最初の方でも言った「筋肉」ではなく
「骨」を動かす意識です。
歩くときも、
肉の付いた足を動かすのではなく、
その中にある骨を動かすイメージで歩く。
それだけでかなり軽く感じるはずです。
こんな感じで、

日常のあらゆる動き方が変わってきます

というのを考えて、
それをどう地面に流すのか工夫してみると、
