「1週間、感謝に対してアンテナ立ててみよう」
というチーム内で、こんな質問をいただきました。
こういう場合、
まず「刺激」と「反応」を分けて考えるのが大事。
いつだったかの通信講座で、
「ストレスの常識を覆す」をテーマにして
発信してたんですが、そのときに
「ストレスとは刺激への反応のこと」と話しました。
刺激自体に良いも悪いもなくて、
それに対して「嬉しい」とか「寂しい」
って反応（解釈）することがストレスの正体。
あなたがストレスと呼んでるのは、
きっとこのマイナス反応のことですよね。
ここで重要ポイントなのは、
反応したから苦しいわけで、 刺激自体が苦しみを生んでるわけじゃない
ってこと！
たとえば仕事で嫌なことがあったとき、
「だから自分は仕事できないんだ」とか
「自分は認められないんだ」
というマイナス反応をすると苦しくなります。
かといって、
「これは成長のチャンスなんだ！」とか
「感謝すべきことなんだ！」
とプラス反応することばかり考えると、
それはそれで苦しくなることもあるんですね。
もちろん、プラス反応によって
エネルギーになることもあるので、
今回の「感謝チーム」はそれを目的にしてました。
ただ、
必ずどっちかの反応をしないといけない！
ってことはないです。
実は「無反応」って選択肢もあるんですよ。
無反応も大事。
プラス反応とバランスよく使い分けるのが理想です。
スポーツの例
たとえば僕が９年間バスケやってたことは
ご存知だと思います。
（え？そんなの知らねーよって？）
こういうスポーツの試合中って、
「無反応」がめちゃくちゃ大事になってくるんですね。
もし試合中に、
「シュートを外した」という刺激があったとき、
あなたならどんな反応しますか？
たぶん反応するなら
この２パターンだと思います。

何が原因だったんだろう？
と、改善を考える。
【マイナスの反応】
「うわー、やっちゃったよ〜」
「落ち込むわ〜」

ですが、スポーツの試合中に
こういう反応するのって、
集中力の邪魔になるだけなんですよ。
試合はどんどん動いてくわけで、
こんなこと考える前に
”さっさと目の前のプレーに集中”した方がいいんですね。
僕もよく怒られました。笑
シュート外して凹んでたら、
「落ち込んでないで目の前のことだけ考えてろ！」って。
逆に、シュート決めて喜んでる間に、
敵に速攻仕掛けられてすぐ点返されたときも、
「喜んでないでプレーに集中しろ！」って。苦笑
スポーツの試合中では、マイナスの反応も
プラスの反応も邪魔になることが多いんですね。
最高のプレーをするためには、
「無反応」も大事なのです。
（プラス反応するな、って意味ではない）
これは仕事でも日常でも大事な意識。
と言うと、こんな疑問が出てくると思います。
無反応は、我慢すること？
けど、「反応しない」は、
我慢することとは違います。
そもそも反応しないんです。
我慢するってことは、
その感情をなんとかしようとすること。
（抑えようとしたり）
それはつまり、自分を否定すること。
自分を否定すると、
また新たなマイナス感情が湧いてきて・・・
という悪循環にハマっていくんですね。
じゃあ無反応はどんな感覚？
職場でコソコソ話してる人達がいたとして、
その刺激に対して、
「自分の悪口言われてるのかも」
と感じるのはマイナス反応です。
逆に、「自分のこと褒めてるのかも」
と感じるのはプラス反応。
で、無反応っていうのは、
「なんか遠くで話してるな。
その話の内容が気になってる自分がいるな。」
と、ただ自分を観察するだけで終わります。
刺激を刺激として見るだけ。
試合でシュート外したときは、
「シュート外しちゃった」と思うだけ、
「悔しがってる自分がいるな」と観察するだけ。
僕もあなたも人間ですから、
感情を完全に消すなんて無理です。
なので、
「悔しい」とか「イラっとする」
って感情が出てくることもあります。
そういうとき、
これを抑えようとするんじゃなくて
リセットするためには、
「観察」するのがオススメ。
自分の内面を観察することでも無反応になります。
嫌な上司とか同僚の言動にイラっとしたり、
落ち込んだりする反応が芽を出したとき、
そんな自分を観察してください。
そしたら、無理に抑えようとしなくても
反応がリセットされて無反応になりますよ。
それともう１つ。
相手を理解しようとすれば、 自然と無反応になる
「相手を理解しようとする」っていうのは、相手の話を理解することじゃない
相手がどんな苦しみを感じてるのか？を理解しようとすること

理不尽なことを言ってきたり、
ありえない振る舞いを見て
誰かに怒り（反応）を感じることってあると思います。
（人によっては落ち込んだり自分を責めたり）
そういうとき、
相手の”心の叫び”に目を向けてください。
そしたら、スッと無反応になります。
イライラだったり苦しみだったりの反応が、
どこかに飛んでいっちゃいます。
これが”相手を理解する”ということ。
すべてに意味はあるけど・・・
僕は、自分に起こったことには
「すべてに意味がある」と思ってます。
だけど、すべての意味を考えようとすると、
今回いただいた質問のように
お腹いっぱいになって動けなくなるんですね。
で、そんな風に動けなくなるくらいなら、
意味なんて考えずに、無反応で
今やることだけに集中した方がいいです。
ですので、無反応で進める技術も大事。
これは技術なので、
あなたにも身につけられること。
