『白雪姫』という童話を知ってますか？
たぶん、あまり知らない人でも、
なんとなく「なんか喋る鏡が出てきて、
白雪姫が7人の小人と暮らしてるときに
毒リンゴで殺されかけたところを
通りかかった王子が見つけて持ち帰った話」
ってくらいのイメージはあると思います。
「王子が見つけて持ち帰った」
ここだけ聞くと、とんでもない響きですね。
物語と王子補正で素敵な話に聞こえますが、
普通に考えたらこっちも犯罪ですよ。笑
「通りかかったおじさんが持ち帰った話」
ほら、”王子”のところを
”おじさん”に換えるだけで一気に犯罪臭が漂います。
まあ、そんなことは置いといて。
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
この『白雪姫』という物語は、
ものすごく害悪な話なんですよ。
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
なぜなら、
白雪姫は最終的に王子と結婚するわけですが、
そのために何かしましたか？
・・・
何もしてませんよね。
あの健気で徳を積んでいたシンデレラと違い、
特に何もしていません。
ですので、「何の努力もしなくても
待っていればいつか誰かが手を差し伸べてくれる」
そんな甘さを見た人に
感じさせてしまうのです。
しかも、白雪姫は
約束を３度も破るほど未熟でした。
王妃の命令で白雪姫を殺しにきた狩人たちに
森の中で瀕死にされたとき、７人の小人が
彼らの家にかくまってくれたわけですが、
そのとき、「誰が来ても絶対に入れちゃダメ」
と小人たちに言われていました。
それなのに、自ら直接手を下すべく
物売りに変装してきた王妃を３回も入れたのです。
そのせいで、白雪姫は王妃に
３回も殺されかけたわけですね。
１回目は、女性の身体の線を美しく見せるための
「胸ひも」を物売りから受け取ろうとして、
そのまま締め上げられました。
２回目は、髪の毛をより綺麗にサラサラにするための
美しい櫛（くし）を受け取ろうとして、
それを頭に突き刺されました。
そして３回目は、毒リンゴを買って
その場でかじって倒れます。
そんな白雪姫なんですが、
どうして最後の毒リンゴで倒れた後に
王子に見つけられ結婚することができたんでしょうか？
これは、西欧におけるリンゴの意味を考えると
見えてくることがあります。
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
西欧では、リンゴはその丸い形から
「完全」のシンボルとされているんですね。
（支配の印、ともいえる）
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
なので、王の描かれた肖像画で
よく一緒に描かれています。
あと、女性の愛と美のシンボルともされてます。
じゃあ、胸ひもと櫛はどうか？
これはどちらも「美しさ」を
より際立てるアイテムです。
つまり白雪姫は、もっと美しくありたい！
もっと女性として完全でありたい！
という思いが強かったわけです。
リンゴを買ったのも、それを表しています。
ここが注目ポイント！
白雪姫は、リンゴをかじってるのです。
胸ひもと櫛で殺されかけたときは、
どちらも王妃によってやられています。
でも、リンゴをかじったのは白雪姫です。
「かじらない」という選択もできたはずなのに、
自分からかじっています。
これが何を意味するのか？
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
「完全」のシンボルであるリンゴをかじって
その一部を削り取ることで、
「不完全」であることを受け入れた
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
リンゴをかじるまでは
ずっと完全さを目指していました。
（約束を破って胸ひもや櫛を受け取ろうとした）
もちろん、そうやって上を目指すこと自体は
素晴らしいことです。
でも、それだけじゃ足りなかった。
まだ白雪姫の魅力は輝き出さなかった。
そこに最後のピースである、
「不完全さを受け入れる」がハマったことで、
白雪姫の魅力が飛躍したのです。
だからこそ、王子が森で見つけたときに
お持ち帰りしようと思ったわけですね。
ただ眠ってるだけの状態でも、
惹きつけられるほどの魅力があったから。
そのキッカケは、
毒リンゴをかじったことによって
「不完全さ」を受け入れたから。
これが、王子と結婚できた本当の理由なのです。
