今回は「告白する〜」シリーズの４本目の記事になります。
よくいただく相談の中に、
「人目を気にしてしまいます。。。」
というものがあります。
僕自身もそうだったので
この気持ちはすごくよく分かるんですが、
人目が気になる状態だと、
とても自信なんて持てませんよね。
そして、人目を気にするが故に、
新しいことに挑戦する勇気も出ず、
なかなか一歩が踏み出せないものです。
じゃあ、どうして人目が気になるのか？
この答えは、実はシンプルなんですよ。
僕自身もずっとやってしまっていたことなんですが・・・

周りの人を評価している

たとえば、あの人は自分より上だけど、
この人は自分より下だ。みたいな。
あの人には勝ってるけど、
この人には負けてる。みたいな。
それも、多くの場合、
”人として”自分より上か下かを評価しています。
何故これが人目を気にする理由になるのか？
人間、心のどこかで
自分と同じように相手も感じてるはずだ、
という思いがあるわけで、
ということは、
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
「相手からも評価されている」
と思い込んでしまうんですね。
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
そうとは限らないのに、
まるでいつも審査員に見られているかのごとく、
評価されているように感じているのです。
だから、人目が気になる。
で、そうやって人目を気にしてると
どう動くかというと、

人前ではちゃんとやるけど、
１人になるとテキトーにやる。
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
という風に、
人前でやるときと１人でやるときで
”質”が変わるのです。
何をするにしても。
それって、自分の中の規律ではなく
他人の意思で動いてるようなものです。
他人の意思で動いてたら、
「自分を信じる」なんて到底不可能。
だから、自信が持てなくなる。
じゃあ、その状態から
抜け出すにはどうすればいいか？
意識することは２つです。
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
１.人を評価することをやめる
（”人としての”優劣をつけない）
２.自分の基準で動く
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
テストの点数が高いからって、
周りの人より”人として”優れてるわけではありません。
ただ、”テストの点数を取る”
という一面では自分は上手、なだけ。
仕事ができるからって、
周りの人より”人として”優れてるわけではありません。
たとえ仕事は上手くできなくても、
”周りの人を癒す”という所が
長所になってる人もいるのです。
ただただ、人によって武器が違うだけ。
これ、すごく大事な視点だと思います。
僕は長い間、この視点に気付けませんでした。
あなたが同じ過ちを繰り返さないよう、
もう一度書いておきますね。

ですので、人としての優劣なんてないんです。
剣が得意な人と弓が得意な人がいたら、
近距離戦なら剣が有利だろうし、
長距離戦なら弓が有利、というだけのこと。
２つ目の「自分の基準で動く」について。
誰かが見てるときでも、
１人でいるときでも”質”が変わらないこと。
それが、自分の基準で動けている状態です。
そういう人は、景色から浮き出るように
放つオーラが違います。
これを普段から意識するのに便利な視点は、
昔ながらの「お天道様が見てる」という視点です。
「神を信じましょう」
なんてことを言うつもりはありませんが、
そういう意識でいる、という意味です。
