『ヒストリエ』を読んでいて、

僕はこのコマを読んだとき、
「何も予定がない休日にも当てはまるな」と思いました。
やらなきゃいけないことがあれば、
確かに自由ではないかもしれません。
予定の内容にもよると思いますが、
どちらかと言うと「苦しさ」に近いと思います。
ですが、やらなきゃいけないことがある、
なにか課題がある、命令されたことがある、
というのは、表面的には「苦しさ」に見えて
実は「楽（ラク）」なのです。

ですので、「なんとなく生きていければいい」
くらいの思いしかない者にとっては
自由民よりも奴隷でいた方が「楽」なんです。
自由を望むなら、
その重さとも向き合わないといけないから。
『ヒストリエ』の中で、
「野蛮人には奴隷に向いてる人間が多いのだ」
というようなセリフがありましたが、
ここも考えさせられるシーンでした。
表面的な言葉だけ見ると
「なんてヒドいことを言うんだ！」
と思うかもしれませんが、
これを「ヒドい言葉」とだけで片付けるのは

構造としては似てる部分もあるように思います。
