前回の記事でセルフイメージの重要性について書きました。
で、じゃあどうやってセルフイメージを
書き換えていけばいいのか？
っていう具体的な話をLINE＠メンバー専用の
メンバーサイトで催眠術を例に投稿したんですが、
こっちではまた違った視点で書こうと思います。
ところで「ポケモン」って知ってますか？
説明するまでもなく
日本人なら大半が知ってるゲームですよね。
なので、知ってる前提で書きますね！
僕は本名が「サトシ」というのもあって、
ポケモンには運命感じてるんですよ（何
「今日ピカチュウどうしたの？」
って何度も話しかけられてきた人生でした。
将来の夢は？って聞かれたら、
「ポケモンマスターになること！」
という鉄板ネタもお披露目できるので、
ポケモンには大変お世話になってます。笑
そんなポケモンなんですが、巧みにプレイヤーの
セルフイメージ上がる仕組みが作られてるんですね。
誰がやっても、
「自分は四天王に勝てる」
っていうセルフイメージが築かれていきます。
その始まりは、恒例行事である
御三家を選んですぐのライバル戦。
僕はいつも水タイプを選ぶって決めてるので
ライバルはだいたい草タイプになるんですが、
この最初のライバル戦で負けたことありません。
というか、ふざけなければ
誰でも勝てるようになってます。
なきごえ？しっぽをふる？
そんなのいらないですよね。
男は黙って、たいあたり！
クールポコ連打してれば勝てます。
（お笑い好きなら分かるネタ）

そうやって、これから最後まで
立ちはだかる壁になるであろうライバルに
余裕で勝てちゃうわけですね。

まずここで小さな成功体験を積んでもらうことで、
「自分にもできそう」と思ってもらう仕組みなのです。
この時点でセルフイメージは前向きになります。
その後、すぐに最初のジムが来ます。
初代だとタケシがジムリーダーで、
「元気しとうや！」のおじさんに迎えられて
岩タイプのジムだと知ります。
この最初のジムも、選んだ御三家によっては
そのポケモンだけで全抜きできますし、
たとえ御三家が不利属性だとしても、
道中でポッポとか捕まえとけば余裕で勝てるレベルです。
こっちのレベルは、
道中のトレーナーと戦ってるだけで
自然と勝てるレベルに上がってるので、
草むらでレベル上げする必要もありません。
はじめてポケモンやったときの
最初のジムリーダー戦って緊張したと思いますが、
意外とあっさり勝てちゃうもんだから
「なんだ！余裕じゃん！」って自信つくんですよね。
なので、最初のジムリーダー突破したときには、
もうセルフイメージは「自分はこのゲームをクリアできる」
くらいに上がってます。
ですから、積極的にそこら辺のトレーナーの
勝負を受けにいけるんですね。

セルフイメージが高い状態だからこそ、
積極的に行動できるわけです。

さらにポケモンの特徴としては、
”ジムを攻略してバッチを集める”
っていう分かりやすい壁の存在があります。
よくあるRPGみたいに、なんとなく旅してたら
急に事件に巻き込まれていきなりボスが出てくる。
なんて展開じゃなくて、
分かりやすく区切りがありますよね。
そして、ジムリーダーを倒すたびに、
「自分は成長してるんだ」という確信が持てます。
バッチも揃ってくるので、
目に見えて四天王に近付いているのが分かります。
これも、セルフイメージを上げる効果があるんですよ。
つまりポケモンでは、
こんなことが繰り返されているんです。

これを繰り返すことでセルフイメージが上がり、
どんどんゲームに対して積極的になってハマっていく。
そんな仕組みになってます。
この「小さな成功体験」
っていうのがすごく重要！
いきなり大きな壁を設定するんじゃなくて、
まずはセルフイメージ上げることを重視すること。
いきなりポケモンマスターを目指すんじゃなくて、
「まず近くの短パン小僧とのポケモン勝負に勝つ」
を大切にすること。
