さてさて、今回は、
僕が尊敬する日本でもトップクラスの
経営コンサルタントの方の言葉を紹介したいと思います。
あまり表には出ない方なんですが、
単に会社の売上を伸ばすだけでなく、
経営者や従業員の家庭環境まで
改善してしまうコンサルをしている方です。
僕はその方の講座を受けて、
かなり生き方のスタンスに影響を受けました。
そんな方の言葉がこちら。

優秀とは、能力のことではない。
優秀とは、優しさに秀でること。
仕事力は、能力ではなくて、
愛情の深さで決まる。

「優秀」って言葉を聞くと、
「仕事ができる」とか「頭が良い」
というイメージがあると思います。
で、もちろん、
そういう意味も含まれてると思います。
ですが、もっと本質的な話をすると、
そういう表面的な部分に
本当の「優秀」はないんですね。
優秀の根幹には、必ず愛情があるのです。
たとえば、なにかを教えるときに
相手に分かりやすく説明する場面で、
優秀な人は順序立てて理由も話しながら
難しい言葉を使わず、間もしっかり取りながら
相手の反応を見ていろんな角度から説明します。
そして、説明をはじめる前には、
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
「こういう業界は初めて？」
「今までどんな業界での経験ある？」
と相手の段階を把握してからはじめます。

そうしないと、
どこまでの専門用語を使っていいのか？
どんなたとえ話をすると理解しやすいか？
などが分からないからです。
こういう風に教えられる人は、
「優秀」と呼ばれるんだと思いますが、
この根幹にあるのは、相手の立場に立って
考えようとする「愛情」なのです。
必要なことは話してるんだけど、
自分が知ってることは相手も知ってると思い
専門用語を使いまくったり、
相手に頭を整理する間も与えず
とにかく自分が思い付いたことを言う。
・・・ここに愛情は感じないですよね。
仕事での優秀な人は、能力が高いから
「優秀」と呼ばれるんじゃなくて、
愛情が深いからこそ、”結果的に”
「優秀」と呼ばれるようになるのです。
愛情深いから気配りができて、
愛情深いから分かりやすく話せて、
愛情深いから早くて、
愛情深いから丁寧なのです。
