今回は、
◆なぜ本は難しい表現が多いのか？
というテーマで書いてみようと思います。
さてさて、
僕は、ほぼ毎日、
朝と寝る前に本を読むようにしているのですが、
最近、感じてきたことがあります。
それは、

読みやすい著者と読みにくい著者がいる
――――――――――――
薄らと感じていたコトではあるのですが、
意識的に感じ始めたのは最近です。
まあ、
「テーマによりけり」という部分もあると思うので、
著者で判断してしまうのはザックリし過ぎていますが、
それでも多少は人によって「読みやすさ」は違うと思います。
で、ぶっちゃけ、
ほとんどの本って読みにくいですよね。苦笑
字がズラーっと並んでいて、
それでいて字も小さい。
難しい専門用語・漢字も出てくる上、
「そんなの知ってて当たり前でしょ」
と言わんばかりに用語説明もほぼありません。
それなりに難易度の高い本になってくると、
辞書なしでは意味不明です。
思わず
「日本語でお願いします！」と、
ツッコミたくなる始末・・・
もちろん、
全部が全部そうではないし、
テーマの難易度によってはしょうがないとも思います。
が、
ぶっちゃけ、ほとんどの本は読みにくいです。
（○○をはじめから！のように、意図されたものは別）
「何故か？」
その理由は、
本を書くような人の多くが、
「学者・専門家の視点」だからです。

学者や専門家と呼ばれる人達は、
ひたすら自分の分野について研究します。
ですが、
僕らみたいに毎日のように発信するわけではありません。
発信するとしても、
誰かに「教える」つもりで発信するのではなく、
自分の研究結果を論文などにして発表するだけです。
自分の世界に篭（こも）り、
積極的に外の世界に繋がろうとはしません。
なので、
自分の中の「当たり前の基準」は高くなっていくのに、
外の世界の基準を知ろうとしないわけです。
だから、言葉が難しくなってしまう。
「これくらい知ってて当然でしょ」
の基準が高い所にあるわけですね。
「自分の脳内を本に落とし込む」
というのは、自分だけの世界から飛び出し、
公の場に伝えることです。
ですが、
「学者・専門家の視点」でいる限り、
外の世界と繋がりきれないんですね。
「誰にも理解されない芸術」
のような感じになってしまいます。
ここに僕は、
「多くの本が読みにくい理由」を感じました。
特に、
いわゆる「名著」と呼ばれる本は、
この傾向が強いと思います。
そのレベルの本を書く人は、
学者や専門家としての視点が色濃いですからね。
自分では深い思考を巡らせていても、
それを誰かに教えるってなると、
慣れていないのです。
さて、
僕らはココから何を学べばいいのでしょう？
少なくとも、
「学者・専門家の視点」でいてはダメ。
というのは感じたんじゃないかと思います。
僕らは「知識」を売っていくわけですから、
学び続ける姿勢はとても大事です。
ですが、同時に、
「外の世界に繋げる」必要があります。

学んだ知識を
自分の中でだけ完結させていてはダメなんですね。
ビジネスは、
相手がいるからこそ成り立つものですから、
自分の世界で終わらせてたら成り立たなくなるわけです。
自分だけが理解できていても意味がなくて、
それを他の人にも分かるように伝えられないといけません。
たとえば、

マーケティングっていうのは、
製造・広告・販売みたいな感じで、
商品を売るまでの一連の流れのことだよ
――――――――――――
何も知らない人にこんな教え方をしても、
「はあ・・・」と思われるだけで伝わりません。
それよりは、
――――――――――――
マーケティングは恋愛と似ていて、
まずは露出して相手に気付いてもらう・
興味を持ってもらう。
で、
他と比べて自分がいかに良いかを
アピールして最終的に選んでもらう。
興味を持ってもらって、
他との違いを知ってもらい、
自分を選んでもらう。
そのためにやる活動のことだよ。

すごくザックリした説明ですが、
こっちの方がイメージしやすいですよね？
身近なことを例に出したことで、
より一般的になっていると思います。
「外の世界と繋げる」
というのは、こんな感覚です。
よく、
「ビジネスには教育者としての視点が必要」
というコトが言われています。
僕が尊敬している人もこう言っていました。
ようやく、
その意味が腑に落ちました。
「教育者の視点」というのは、
単に「情報発信ビジネス＝教育ビジネス」だからではなく、
教育者って生徒に教えるために
生徒の目線に合わせながら教えていますよね？
それは、
自分だけの世界を飛び出して
「外の世界に繋げている」状態です。
この「外の世界に繋げる」という感覚が
ビジネスには不可欠だから、
「教育者の視点」という言葉を使ったんだな、と。
ようやく腑に落ちました。
理解していたつもりで、理解できていませんでしたね。苦笑
でも、
世の中って、そんなのばかりですよね。
理解できていたつもりが
できていなかった、なんて話はよくあるコトだと思います。
これだから「学び」は止められません。
