今回は、
なぜチョコミントは避けられるのか？
というゆるいテーマでお届けしようと思います。
もちろん、
ゆるい話のまま終わらせたりしませんので、
ぜひ最後まで読んでみてくださいね。
さてさて、
まず、チョコミント（特にアイス）反対派の
意見でよく出てくるのが・・・・
「歯磨き粉みたいな味がする！！」
この意見が断トツに多いです。
もし、あなたがチョコミント反対派だとしたら、
きっと全力で頷けるんじゃないかと思います。
で、
もう１つよく出てくるのが・・・
「なんでチョコがスースーするんだよ！！」
これもよく出てくる意見ですね。
さて、
この２つの意見から読み取れるコトがあります。
まず、「歯磨き粉みたいな味がする」からは、
別にミントの味が嫌いなわけじゃない、というコトが分かりますね。
実はミント味は嫌いじゃない？
だって、歯磨きって普通は毎日するものですよね？
人によっては１日に何度も。
つまり、
毎日欠かさずミントを食べてるようなもの。笑
もしミントの味が嫌いなら、
そんなの苦痛でしょうがないはずです。
だけど、多くの人は毎日当たり前のように歯を磨き、
ミント味を堪能してるわけですね。
それが出来るってことは、
別にミントの味自体が嫌いなわけじゃないと言えます。
ちなみに、念入りに歯を磨く人ほど、
チョコミント好きが多い気がします。
男よりも女性の方がチョコミント好きの
傾向が強いのは、そういった理由もあるのかなと。
次に、
「なんでチョコがスースーするんだよ」
という意見ですが・・・・
チョコに対する固定観念
ここからは、
【チョコ＝甘いもの】という
固定観念があることが分かります。
※固定観念：
「唐辛子は辛いもの！」というような、
固定された考え方のこと。
もちろん、
ビター（ほろ苦い）チョコもあるんですが、
基本的にはチョコって甘いイメージが強いですよね。
「チョコって、どんなイメージ？」
とアンケートを取ったら、
大半が「甘い」と答えるはずです。
それくらい、
チョコレートは甘い食べモノの代表となってるわけですね。
で、
チョコミントはどういう味かっていうと、
「甘爽やか」な味です。
チョコのイメージを覆すような味なのです。
それがどのくらいの衝撃か？？
ジュースのつもりで飲んだらお茶だった
↑このくらいの衝撃です。
（一度は経験あるはず！笑）
実際、
僕も初めてチョコミントを食べた時は、
このくらいの衝撃を受けました。
正直、最初は「とんでもなく不味い」と
思ってましたから。苦笑
あまりにもチョコのイメージと
かけ離れた味だったので、
抵抗が強かったわけです。
つまり、
日常の「歯磨き粉」でミントに対する慣れはあるけど、
チョコミントを「チョコ」のつもりで食べるから、
いつものチョコのイメージにない
ミントの爽やかさに驚き、抵抗を感じてしまう。
これが、
多くの人がチョコミントを避けてしまう理由なのです。
チョコミントとチョコは別ジャンル
僕の中では、
「チョコミント」と普通の「チョコレート」は別ジャンルです。
チョコミントは「チョコミント」という
独立したジャンルのつもりで食べてます。
だから、「チョコ」の固定観念に縛られず、
抵抗なく味わえているのです。
僕も、はじめはチョコミントが苦手でした。
ですが、
チョコミントをチョコだと思わず、
「別物なんだ」と思うようになってから、
魅力に気付き、ハマっていきました。
「チョコもミントも嫌いだ！」
という人以外は、
チョコに対する固定観念を取っ払うことで、
なにか新しい世界が見えるんじゃないかなと思います。
今回は、
チョコミントをテーマにして「チョコ」の
固定観念について話しましたが、
これ以外にも、
日常には固定観念がたくさん転がっています。
・やりたい事と仕事は別
・学歴の低い人は頭が悪い
・幸せになれる人は数％だけ
などなど、
悪しき固定観念は山のようにあります。
そういうのに惑わされないよう、
もっと自由に発想できるようになると良いですね。
「常識」とか「当たり前」に囚われないようにしましょう！
